Jr. Miss Scholarship Program - Our current
state representative is Cachet Hancock. Cachet was chosen
as the 2005 Kansas Junior Miss at the Finals held in
Belleville, Kansas, March 14-19, 2005. Additionally,
she won the Judges Interview Award.

Crossroads
Car Festival - Each June Belleville is
filled with antique and classic car enthusiasts who
come from all over the Midwest for the Annual Crossroads
Car Festival. Spectators enjoy viewing more than 500
antique, classic, and custom cars.

North
Central Kansas Free Fair - Republic County
annually hosts the largest free fair in the State of
Kansas. It is traditionally held during the last part
of July and the first part of August. Held at the Fairgrounds
M Street Belleville. The Floral Hall has been a centerpiece
of the event as it furnishes the display area for flowers,
quilts, and handmade items on its two floors. Besides
the 4-H and FFA exhibits at the fair, there are open
class livestock,horticulture, crafts, foods, floriculture
and textile entries. The Art Gallery displays original
art by members of the North Central Kansas Artists'
Association.

Midget
Nationals Car Races
- The Belleville High Banks hosts the Midget Nationals
on the "world's fastest 1/2 mile" clay
oval race track. According to Motor Sports Forum,
the race is "one of America's greatest short-track
races".
